Actually this is a fact. CSA's offer pick up at the local farmer's market downtown and in Sunset Valley.
Solution yes strike a deal with CSAs and Newflower. People can pick up the food there.
The other thing, that neighborhood is an older neighborhood with a good socioeconmic mix. We live south too. Our shopping for a family of 5 consists of Wheatsville, Costco, and WF or SH when there are specials. HEB on Slaughter and Manchaca has improved also.
This is good and you just have to know how to navigate.
We buy local or "Texan" as much as possible. Definitely citrus!
